THE HAPPYHABITS PATH
Peace that builds over time.
Breathing room in your mind
During the 5‑Day “Get Out of Your Head” Challenge, you start catching spiraling thoughts sooner and practicing simple, Bible‑rooted resets. Most women describe it as finally getting a little space to breathe again.
Clarity and a simple plan
With your 7‑Day Hope Map, you stop guessing and start focusing on one or two small, specific changes. You’re not “fixed,” but you know what to work on with God this week instead of trying to fix everything at once.
A rhythm is building for you and your home
As you keep showing up to Calm‑Mind Intensives, the new habits and heart shifts begin to stick. You notice shorter spirals, gentler responses, and a quieter sense that God is meeting you in the middle of your real life.
Our Story
About the Founders
Built to serve
Joe and Liz Christopher are the co‑founders of HappyHabits, a faith‑based mental health brand for Christian women. Liz is an Licensed Associate Counselor (LAC) who has spent 8 years training in family conflict and women’s trauma, and has already walked hundreds of women (including pastors’ wives) through anxiety, hidden crises, and “I’m doing all the right things but still falling apart” seasons. Joe is an engineer who made his career building simple systems to solve complex problems in highly regulated industries.
Together, they took the counseling process that has helped women cut through noise, make hard decisions for their families and ministries, and even reconcile marriages, and engineered it into a repeatable online path. They first used this Scripture‑shaped framework in their own seasons of loss and hurt, then refined it with clients until it worked consistently. The 5‑Day “Get Out of Your Head” Challenge, Hope Mapping Session, and Calm‑Mind Intensives all come from that same process, so you’re not guessing or piecing things together alone... you’re walking a path that’s already helped real women steady their minds and homes with God.
Frequently Asked Questions

What is HappyHabits, in plain English?
HappyHabits is a faith‑based mental health brand for high‑functioning Christian women who feel anxious, overwhelmed, or stuck but don’t want another fluffy devotional. We combine licensed biblical counseling, Scripture‑shaped tools, and simple online delivery so you can actually manage your thoughts, emotions, and habits in real life, not just on paper. It’s one proven process, offered as self‑help, group support, and 1:1 counseling.
Is this therapy, coaching, or just a Bible study?
It’s a blend:
- The 5‑Day “Get Out of Your Head” Challenge and Calm‑Mind Intensives are faith‑based emotional support and discipleship, rooted in Scripture and informed by counseling practice.
- Hope Mapping Sessions and 1:1 Biblical Counseling are delivered by a counselor, integrating clinical training with a biblical worldview.
We are not a replacement for in‑person medical or psychiatric care. Instead, we focus on helping you manage anxiety, stress, and overwhelm in a way that honors Scripture and respects wise mental health practice.
Do I have to live in a Counseling Compact state to join?
No and yes.
- You can join the 5‑Day Challenge and participate in Calm‑Mind Intensives from anywhere with a stable internet connection.
- 1:1 Biblical Counseling and our 7‑Day Hope Mapping Sessions, are only available when you are physically located in a Counseling Compact member state at the time of each session, based on our home license and Compact rules.
The map above shows where we can currently offer individual counseling and will be updated as the Compact expands.
What kind of results can I realistically expect?
We do not promise to cure anxiety or depression. We help you:
- Catch spiraling thoughts faster and respond with Scripture‑shaped tools
- Feel less on edge and more present with your kids, husband, and community
- Experience a clearer sense of God’s nearness in ordinary, hard days
- Build a calmer daily rhythm that you can maintain without perfectionism
Every story is different, but many women describe the first change as “a little more breathing room in my mind,” followed by a gentler home and a quieter heart over the coming weeks as they stick with the process.
How is a Hope Mapping Session different from a regular counseling session?
A Hope Mapping Session is a focused, one‑time diagnostic:
- 45–60 minutes with a licensed biblical counselor
- Clarifies one primary heart‑level root underneath your current struggle
- Ends with a personalized 7‑Day Hope Map (specific “put off / put on” habits, Scriptures, and actions for the next week)
You walk away with clarity + a simple plan, not an open‑ended to‑do list. From there you can:
- Walk it out with your Hope Map and the free community, or
- Continue into Calm‑Mind Intensives or 1:1 counseling if you want ongoing support.
Think of it as a high‑impact starting point, not a vague intro chat.
What makes Calm‑Mind Intensives different from a typical small group or Bible study?
Most Bible studies focus on content consumption (more verses, more homework). Calm‑Mind Intensives focus on:
- Applying Scripture to specific thought patterns and emotional spirals
- Practicing new responses live, with guidance from a licensed counselor
- Weekly implementation and reflection, not just information
You still open your Bible, but the goal is a calmer mind and home you can feel, not just more notes in your journal.
How much does HappyHabits cost?
We designed our pricing ladder so you can start free, then add support as you’re ready, instead of jumping into a big commitment on day one.
For most women, the real cost isn’t the sessions themselves; it’s the lost moments with their kids, spouse, and friends when overwhelm keeps stealing their patience and presence. We want the investment to feel like faithful stewardship of your heart and home, not an indulgence.
We also believe in paying our workers a fair wage for the emotional and spiritual labor they pour into this work. Our pricing reflects the time, training, and licensure of a professional counselor, the preparation and follow‑up that go into every Hope Map, intensive, and session, and the tech that makes this support accessible online.
I’ve tried Christian devotionals and self‑help programs before and they didn’t stick. Why would this be different?
Two big reasons:
- It’s a system, not a stack of content.
The 5‑Day Challenge, Hope Map, Intensives, and 1:1 counseling all use the same counseling framework, so each step builds on the last instead of starting over every time. - It’s engineered for real life.
Everything is built to work in 5–15 minute chunks, with clear next steps and support, not aspirational routines that fall apart by Wednesday.
We’re not asking you to become a “perfect quiet‑time girl.” We’re helping you become a woman who can actually manage her mind and emotions with God, in the middle of a full life.
